Give
It's free for her.It isn't free to run.
Roughly 1 in 7 mothers experience postpartum depression, and around three quarters of them never get treatment. Everything here — the crisis lines, the reflection, the articles, the companion — is open to all of them, with no account and no card. Giving is what pays for that. A single gift, or monthly if you'd rather; nothing recurs unless you choose it.
Giving changes nothing about what you can use here, because there is nothing held back. It buys somebody else's 3am, not your own.
$30 USD
Keeps the companion on for a day
Charged in US dollars (USD). If that isn't your currency, your bank will convert it and may show a slightly different amount.
Where it goes
Three bills, no gatekeeping
The companion's model fees
Every conversation costs a few cents in API charges. That is a small number until it is three thousand conversations at 4am, and it is the single largest line in the bill.
Hosting, the domain, email
Unglamorous and non-negotiable. It is what makes the site answer instantly to someone who has ten minutes before the baby wakes.
Moderation, as the community opens
Reading reports at 3am is real work and it should be paid work. We would rather raise the money than staff it with goodwill and hope.
Why there is no paid tier at all. A price is a question, and the woman we built this for answers that question with “then it isn't for me.” Some people who could comfortably pay will use it for nothing. That is a far cheaper mistake than the other one.
Who this reaches
Mothers who were already carrying it alone
I thought I was failing because I wasn't instantly happy. It turned out I wasn't broken — I was depleted, and depleted is a thing you can treat.
Composite · Drawn from what mothers describe, not one person The intrusive thoughts terrified me most because I couldn't tell anyone. The day I learned they're common and they don't mean you'll act on them, I could finally breathe.

If you came here to be held, not to give
Then close this page and go back. You do not owe this site anything, there is nothing here to buy, and nothing you can read is improved by paying for it.
